/photo [GET]

Retrieve a member’s photo gallery - protected.

Note that a member’s primary photo (if any) is always listed first.

When you request the current member’s photos, you get all the approved and pending photos (but none that have been rejected or deleted). When you request another member’s photos, you get just the approved photos

Parameters

  • profileid (numeric) [REQUIRED] - the ID of a member (can be the current member or another member that the current member has permission to view)

Response Messages

403 Forbidden If profileid is missing or invalid, you will get a fail message of "Invalid Argument".

{ "fail" : "Invalid Argument" }

If profileid is valid but the current member is not authorized to view that profile, you will get a fail message of "Profile Inaccessible".

{ "fail" : "Profile Inaccessible" }

200 OK - success

Each element of the photos array contains the following fields:

  • id - The ID of the photo in our system
  • urlstem - The portion of the image URL up to and including the image filename (but not the extension)
  • extension - The separator and file extension of the image (e.g., .gif)
  • max1600, max800, square1000, square500, square250 – These will be the respective file suffix to use for each available size of the photo; if the specific size is not available, the suffix of an alternative image file will be returned; for square250, that alternative will be the legacy 150x150 square image; for the other suffix values will be for the uncropped, 400px width legacy image (and therefore for square1000 and square500, it will need overflow cropping to the appropriate square size when it is displayed)
  • primary - 1 indicates this is the primary photo, 0 indicates this is not the primary photo
  • validforprimary - 1 indicates this photo could be used as a primary photo (it is a suitable “head shot”), 0 indicates this could not be used as a primary photo
  • pending - 1 indicates this photo is awaiting review by our Customer Service team, 0 indicates this has been approved

In all cases, the URL for display will be urlstem + suffix + extension.
